Summary One generation from now most people in the United States will have spent more time in the virtual world than in nature. A whole generation of children is growing up disconnected from the natural world, and we have yet to witness the full ramifications of this trend.
Children need nature as desperately as the natural world needs them. We can drive less, develope renewable energy, and write to our policymakers – we have to. But we cannot forget the role our children play, for children are the future stewards of our planet.
"What they do not know, they will not protect, and what they do not protect, they will lose.” (Charles Jordon, The Conservation Society, PLAY AGAIN)
PLAY AGAIN is a character-driven documentary that follows 6 teens, all heavy screen users. They are “the average American child”. We see them unplugged and taken on their first wilderness adventure – no bathrooms, no electricity, no cell phone coverage- just the vastness of an Oregon forest. Through the voices of children and leading experts, we investigate the consequences of a childhood removed from nature.
Logline At a time when children spend more time in the virtual world than the natural world, PLAY AGAIN unplugs a group of tech savy teens and takes them on their first wilderness adventure, documenting the wonder that comes from time spent in nature and inspiring action for a sustainable future.
Logline "Small Change: World of Difference" celebrates Muhammad Yunus’ successful microcredit model and his expansive vision of social business. As one of the world’s leading innovators, Yunus continues to provide solutions across multiple sectors from education to healthcare to energy sustainability.
